Lovejoy ISD is proud to announce the promotion of Sarah Dean (Hastings) as Principal of Willow Springs Middle School.
Ms. Dean brings 24 years of experience in education and most recently served as Associate Principal of Teaching & Learning at Lovejoy High School. She previously served as Assistant Principal at Lovejoy High School, Assistant Principal at Navarro Elementary in Bryan ISD, Elementary ELA Curriculum Coordinator in Fort Bend ISD, and as a Reading Specialist and classroom teacher in Fort Bend ISD.
Superintendent Katie Kordel shared, “We are thrilled to welcome Ms. Dean as Principal of Willow Springs Middle School. Her leadership experience, unwavering commitment to student success, and dedication to building strong partnerships with staff, students, and families make her an outstanding addition to our leadership team. We look forward to the positive impact Ms. Dean will have on the Willow Springs community as she builds on the school’s tradition of excellence and creates meaningful opportunities for every student to learn, grow, and thrive.”
Ms. Dean earned a Master of Administration and Supervision from the University of Houston and a Bachelor of Arts in Multidisciplinary Studies from Houston Baptist University.
Ms. Dean and her husband, Justin, have three children: Piper, a ninth-grade student, Quinn and Mabry, who are seventh-grade students, and two dogs, Max and Heidi.
As Principal of Willow Springs Middle School, Ms. Dean will lead the campus with a focus on student achievement, staff collaboration, and continuing the tradition of excellence at Willow Springs.
