I'm thrilled to begin my 22nd year in education and my 15th year as a teacher in Lovejoy ISD! I'm a former Allen Eagle, and a graduate of the University of North Texas with a major in English Literature and a minor in Secondary Education. Shortly after graduating from UNT, I had the amazing opportunity to teach Humanities (grades 9-12) at an innovative K-12 portfolio-based technology magnet school in McKinney ISD. During those five years I developed English curriculum for grades 9-12, served as team leader, and assisted in the international  partnership and exchange program with an all-girls school in Lancaster, England. Taking everything I learned about constructivist education and problem-based learning, I went on to teach 10th Grade English at McKinney High and later 8th Grade English at Evans Middle School.
My husband, Eric, is a creative director at an advertising agency in Dallas, and we live in Lucas with our two daughters, Presley and Payge . Presley will be an 9th grader at LHS this year, and Payge will a 7th grader here at Willow Springs!
I'm looking forward to a fantastic year of learning and thinking about the world around us! Go Leopards!
