I'm Christina Chapman and this is my 11th year teaching Middle School Choir in Lovejoy ISD.
My love for music started at a very early age as I'm the granddaughter of a former Blue-Grass/Country Singer - Bill "Cowboy Rambler" Boyd. I also grew up singing in my church, church choirs as well as school choirs.
I attended Clear Creek High School, in League City where I was in the Symphonic Choir for 3 years, under the direction of Mr. Milton Pullen and Dr. Sue Cruse. While also participating in the Chamber/Madrigal Choir my Junior and Senior years. While a dedicated choir member, I was also a member of the Varsity Basketball Team for 3 years.
From 1993 - 1997, I attended the University of Texas at San Antonio as a Music Education and Vocal Performance Major and graduated in the December of 1998. My student teaching experience was at Lake Highlands High School in Richardson ISD with Mr. Michael O'Hern, Melanie Moore, and Kari Gilbertson.
In July 1999, I began my teaching career in Plano ISD at Robinson Middle School.
2007, I joined the secondary program of Lovejoy ISD, to help build a choir program second to none.
Here we are at 2017, and I'm starting my 19th year in middle school choir education. I love inspiring students to sing and use their instrument. I love inspiring students through all kinds of music. "Music can change the World" - Pilgrim
