All About Me!!

I am so excited to be in Lovejoy this year. I started teaching in 2020 in Garland ISD and moved to Lovejoy after being their for 2 years. I'm excited for all the things we're going to do this year and can't wait to have students in my classroom ready to learn.

 

I grew up in Sachse and graduated from Sachse High School in 2006. I was the first class to go all 4 years and graduate. After graduation I went to BYU in Provo UT and got my Bachelor's Degree in Exercise & Wellness in 2010. I was a stay at home mom for 10 years before I got my teaching certificate in Core Subjects 4-8 with the Science of Teaching Reading as well as my P.E. certification. I taught 8th grade science for the last 2 years and am so excited to make the transition to 7th grade math. Teaching has brought me so much joy and I'm so glad I get be with your kids every day.

 

Being a teacher has instilled in me the desire to make sure students learn both academically and socially. It's important I make connections with my students and know what they need when they need it. Knowing this will help them succeed and feel confident in and out of the classroom.

 

When I'm not teaching I love spending time with my family. Whether it's at one of my kid's sporting events or spending time on the lake we love being together.
