About Me

Hello!  I am excited for a new school year at Willow Springs! I started teaching in Lovejoy ISD in 2020.  I am certified to teach math from grades 4-12 and am also certified in Gift and Talented, Special Education EC-12, and have a supplemental certification for ESL.

I grew up in North Dakota and graduated from the University of North Dakota, so naturally, I enjoy watching hockey.  We like going as a family to the Allen Americans hockey games and also enjoy going to the Frisco Roughriders games.  I have been married to my husband for almost 13 years and we have three amazing children who will be attending elementary school here in Lovejoy.  I have one that will be entering fourth grade and twins that will be going into second grade.  We are thrilled to be a part of the Lovejoy family.

I come from a military family.  My dad was in the Air Force as well as my husband, so I enjoy traveling and experiencing other cultures.  I have lived in four other countries, two of which were due to the military and the other two were due to missions work.  We have lived in Texas now for almost six years and find it to be a great place to raise our family.  Other than travel, I also enjoy reading.  I re-read all the Harry Potter books with my oldest son this summer, as well as listened to the audio books whenever we traveled.

I am looking forward to meeting and getting to know the students this year!
