Education: Butler County Community College - El Dorado, KS
Jacksonville State University - Jacksonville, AL
University of Texas at Arlington - Arlington, TX
I had the unbelievable opportunity of playing college softball at Butler County and Jacksonville State University. Following a devastating shoulder injury, God had a different plan for me and I finished my last 2 semesters of college at UTA and received a degree in Speech Communication. While waiting for a call from the Public Relations department at a large firm, I began substitute teaching and fell in love with teaching kids -- I've never looked back!
Professional experience: Wylie High School - Wylie, TX 2001-07
Argyle High School - Argyle, TX 2007-14
Denton High School - Denton, TX 2014-16
I am entering my 17th year in education. I began my first seven years of teaching at Wylie High School and taught Resource/Inclusion Math and Science, in addition to serving my last 4 years as the Special Education Department Head. While at Wylie High School, I also coached softball at the varsity and jv levels. We finished 4th place or above in district every year and made many deep runs in the state playoffs.
The next six years were spent as the Head Softball Coach and Freshman Volleyball Coach at Argyle High School, as well as teaching 8th grade Science, Inclusion Math/Science, and Content Mastery at Argyle Middle School. My teams at Argyle finished 3rd or better three years and even made it to the Regional Quarterfinals. I coached several All-State finalists and many Academic All-State young ladies.
Following Argyle, I coached at Denton High School for two years as the Assistant Varsity Softball Coach specializing in pitchers, outfielders, and hitters. In addition, I taught Professional Communications to 9th-12th grades.
Personal Info: Husband - Michael

My husband and I have been married for 9 years and have two wild and crazy boys. Eli is 6 years old and will be in first grade at Hart this fall and Jaxson is 3 and will begin preschool at FBC Allen Discovery Days in the fall as well. Behind God, my family are the most important people in my life. In fact, I gave up head coaching because of it and have come to Lovejoy for the fantastic community for my kids to be a part of.
I will be teaching 8th grade Science at Willow Springs Middle School and coaching pitchers, catchers, and hitters as the Assistant Varsity Softball Coach, in addition to helping with the Cross Country team at Willow Springs.
I am super pumped to start my 2nd year in Lovejoy!!!!
