I am originally from Kansas City, MO, but after moving, I attended high school and college in Wisconsin.  I received my Bachelors in Elementary Education at University of Wisconsin at Whitewater. I started my teaching career in McKinney where I taught 4th and 5th grade.  After receiving my Master's in Education Leadership at Dallas Baptist University, I became an assistant principal at Caldwell Elementary in McKinney.
I moved to Colorado and that is where I fell in love with Middle School!  I served as an assistant principal at Rifle Middle School for 2 years and principal of Riverside Middle School for 6 years.  In between those two jobs, I had the opportunity to open a new elementary school as a new principal.
During my eight years at middle school, I quickly learned that working with middle school students is the best job in the world!  I enjoy the way middle school students think and learn and their fun sense of humors.  I most enjoy the opportunity to help students navigate through the tough years that are middle school.
I have a four year-old daughter named Molly.  As she gets closer to entering school, I knew it was time to move back to the great state of Texas to be near family and friends.  I did a lot of research on the best place to continue being a middle school administrator, as well as the best school for my daughter. Lovejoy quickly rose to the top!
I feel blessed for the opportunity to work with the students at Willow Springs Middle School.  I am inspired by not only the work ethic academic achievement of our students, but by the incredible talent they show in athletics and the arts. I look forward to working with our teachers, students, and families!
