I was born in Arlington, TX and graduated from Martin HS. I attended the University of North Texas and graduated in 1993 (Get your talons up!). I began teaching in Lewisville where I taught 8th grade English for 5 years. I then chose to stay home with my two beautiful children. I returned to teaching, after 8 years at home, here in Lovejoy, and this year, 16-17 will be my 15th year in the profession and my 10th year in Lovejoy (teaching 7th grade preAP and GT English). I have two very entertaining and active children, one is a SENIOR this year at LHS, and one will be a Sophomore at LHS. My how time flies! My mother is a retired teacher with 35 years and my father is a retired Arlington police officer with 36 years. I was raised within a framework that valued the importance of education, hard work, a positive attitude, and helping others. I wanted to be a teacher ever since I was a child, as my mother tells tales of my many hours playing school and giving my brother A LOT of homework! ;) Teaching is my passion, my service, and my professional identity. When my students succeed, there is my reward.
